We are looking to top up our Trust Board with new Trustees following two resignations.

We are looking to top up our Trust Board with new Trustees following two resignations. A high priority for us is to bring in some professional skills such as an Accountant, Teacher, and an experienced Donor Manager, so we can beef up our expertise in setting our strategic direction. It’s also a must that you have knowledge of the Glen Innes community as this is our focus area for service delivery. In addition, you will need a genuine commitment to wanting better for underprivileged kids.

Our Focus Areas are:

  • Literacy Support – One-on-one help for new entrants with no preschool experience to give them the best possible start, and providing resourcing like additional books.
  • Attendance Initiatives – A group of programmes that reduce and prevent unnecessary absences from school.
  • Essential Resources – Supporting whānau through uniforms, hygiene products, food support — everything children need to show up and succeed.

This is important and rewarding work. You will need some time available to be present in the school for events and suchlike – we find this is a real highlight ! Note that this role is unpaid – we are all volunteers.
